The International Garden Cities Exhibition

Opening Saturday, 12 October 2013

We’ll shortly be unveiling new displays with information on Letchworth’s legacy and influence across the world at 296 Norton Way South.

In the meantime, please visit our dedicated website at to find out more.

Formerly home to the Heritage Museum and once the drawing offices of one of Letchworth Garden City’s chief architects; we’re undergoing a complete revitalisation inside and out, with brand new displays, research facilities and a flexible function space.

We’re also making sure the venue is more accessible, with wheelchair lift and accessible toilet.

Josh Tidy, our Curator said about the project: “There has never been more interest in Letchworth Garden City and the Garden City movement, both at home and abroad. The new displays will explore the history of Ebenezer Howard’s revolutionary idea, how it was put into practice here in Letchworth and elsewhere, and look at the legacy and influence it has had across the globe. They will really do the story justice.”

“There will also be a rolling programme of temporary exhibitions celebrating the social history of the town in a number of different and exciting ways, such as in pop-up shops or site-specific displays.”

We hope to welcome you soon.
