Research and Information

Our Research

To support our community the best way we can, it is vital that we understand the specific social, cultural, and economic needs of our Garden City. To do this we need to gather information and carry out research.  There are many ways we do this:

Connect Letchworth Residents’ Panel

The Connect Letchworth Residents’ Panel is made up of more than 600 residents and is a platform for sharing views about the Foundation, life in the town and improvements for the future. The panel is managed by independent researchers AudienceNet, who completed studies in 2013 and 2015.  Click here to read the full research.

Needs Analysis

To gain a better understanding of the social situation in Letchworth, we have undertaken an analysis of the 2015 Indices of Multiple Deprivation. This study looks into the social life and living arrangements for neighbourhoods across England, and allows us to gain a better understanding about our local community.

In-house expertise

Alice Hutchinson is our Research and Information Analyst.  Alice splits her time between her desk; her excel spreadsheets and being out in the community. The information she provides helps us to use our resources in the right areas, spending wisely and making sure we reach those people or areas which need the most assistance.
