Letchworth General Market: Today, Thursday. The general market will run from 8am to 4pm in Leys Avenue.         

Standalone Farm - Christina’s Dancing Dogs: Today, Thursday and tomorrow Friday. Christina Oxtoby is a highly respected animal trainer based in Cambridge who will be showing us exactly why dogs are man’s best friend. Her canine friends will perform some amazing tricks and heelwork to music. With two shows a day and a chance to meet her four legged friends, this is a show that the whole family will simply love. Open Door Coffee Morning: Today, Thursday. Open coffee morning with free refreshments. A chance for a chat in peace and calm. At Letchworth Free Church, Norton way South. From 10.30am to 12 noon. All welcome. Free parking.

Forty Plus Cycling Club: Today, Thursday. A small friendly group that generally meet and ride to a pub, café or tearoom for lunch. This week’s ride is to Gustard Wood, with lunch at The Cross Keys. Next week’s ride is to Walkern, with lunch at The White Lion (including Garden City Wheelers). Meet at 10.30am. At The Three Magnets, 18-20 Leys Avenue. Summer Street Dance Workshops: Friday, August 11 and Tuesday 15. Professional dance tutor Kerry will help dancers to develop their skills, learn new routines and have fun. Family Arts Studio: Sunday, August 13. Family Arts Studio is a free drop-in activity on the second Sunday of each month, plus extra dates during school holidays. Led by professional artists, the sessions involve hands-on craft activities inspired by the art works on display in the Broadway Gallery. At Broadway Studio and Gallery, 2 The Arcade. Baldock and District Canoe Club: Sunday, August 13. The Canoe club meet every Sunday, offering the first pool taster session where all equipment and qualified instruction is provided FREE. Standalone Farm - CJS Falconry: Monday, August 14 to Friday, August 18. Watch these majestic creatures swoop and soar with the fantastic CJS falconry team at Standalone Farm. With audience interaction and a chance to see the birds up close, the displays will enable you to see the birds at their best; in the sky. LALG Hull Visit: Wednesday, August 16. Letchworth Arts and Leisure History Group are organising a trip to the cultural city of Hull, also taking in the Old Town. North Herts Mental Health Carer Support Group: Thursday, August 17. This monthly meeting is for those who care for someone with a mental illness.
