Independent Inspector Appeals

Independent Inspector Appeals

In cases where an application for alterations to a home covered by the Scheme of Management or a residential lease is refused, the homeowner can ask for this to be reviewed by the Advisory Management Committee, who will report their recommendations to the Board of Trustees.

If the Board confirm the decision to refuse consent, the homeover can request for this matter to be the subject of an appeal to an Independent Inspector.

The Inspector has been appointed via the Royal Institute of British Architects and will review the case and issue a decision, which will be binding on the Heritage Foundation.

Details of the process, procedures and cost of the appeal process can be found below, along with details of current appeals.
