Their Finest may not be quite the finest i’ve seen this year, but it’s up there with an otherwise eclectic mix of very fine films indeed. It follows in a long tradition of warm, witty, whimsical and let’s face it, WWII films that focus on the human side of Britain under the Blitz.

A new work by the artist Dan Hays has been added to his exhibition The Walk to the Paradise Garden currently showing at Broadway Gallery Letchworth.Titled Daisyworld, the painting is inspired by the work of Letchworth-born scientist James Lovelock. Daisyworld is the name of a computer model that Lovelock developed to illustrate Gaia theory, his influential hypothesis that the Earth and its natural cycles are like that of a living organism.

As we head into April and the weather starts to heat up again (finally!), Steve from our landscaping team tells us more about some of the work they have been doing in the gardens over the last few weeks.Recently as the weather has started to improve, our focus has turned towards getting the various community gardens across Letchworth ready for the summer months and making sure they all are looking great.
