Ernest Gardiner Treatment Centre
As part of the Heritage Foundation's charitable commitments, we fund and manage the Ernest Gardiner Treatment Centre (EGTC).
EGTC cares for more than 5,000 patients each year and is free to those who live locally with registered GPs based in Letchworth and Baldock.
Services include nursing, physiotherapy and occupational therapy, from a friendly team of highly qualified professionals. We run the Treatment Centre without any funding from the National Health Service, whilst local charity, the League of Friends raise money for new or replacement equipment.
The Treatment Centre is now closed as staff are supporting community services as part of the local response to COVID-19.
If you require hearing aid batteries, these can be obtained from either Lister Hospital, Park Drive Health Centre or Bedford Road Health Centre, but do please check whether these services are still open before travelling. You can also request postal deliver of batteries, details for which can be found here.
