Summary

As a Green Space Volunteer, you'll play a key role in helping nature to thrive around Letchworth Garden City. You'll be doing light practical conservation and woodland maintenance tasks while spending time outdoors and getting to know like-minded people.

Why we want you

You’ll be helping to protect and maintain the green spaces and woodlands managed by the Heritage Foundation, improving the natural environment, ensuring trees and plants thrive and enhancing the experience of everyone spending time outdoors on our sites. We are a Community Benefit Society with charitable status and a vision to make the world’s first Garden City a great place for everyone to live, work and visit.

 

What you will be doing

  • Removal of old tree tubes, spirals, guards and stakes
  • Moving tree tubes and stakes to collection points
  • Light litter-picking

  • Keen to help the environment at a local level
  • Happy spending time outside
  • Enjoy meeting new people and teamwork
