Norton Common in Letchworth Garden City has once again been recognised among the best parks and green spaces in the country after receiving a prestigious Green Flag Award for 2026/27.
The internationally recognised Green Flag Award, run by environmental charity Keep Britain Tidy, is the benchmark for the management of recreational outdoor spaces, recognising parks and green spaces that are well-maintained, accessible and welcoming. The award celebrates the important contribution that parks make to people’s health and wellbeing, as well as to local communities.
This year marks the 17th consecutive year that Norton Common has achieved Green Flag status – a fantastic achievement that reflects the hard work and dedication of everyone involved in caring for this much-loved green space.
