The largest group of households in Letchworth Garden City is ‘Family Basics’, families with tight budgets, at 14.3%. This is closely followed by those in ‘Prestige Positions’ at 14.2%, affluent households with teenage or older children.

This is similar to North Herts, where 14.5% of households fit in this category, whilst 18.2% in Hertfordshire as a whole fit into this category. In contrast, ‘Family Basics’ make up just 7.3% of North Herts and 7.4% of Hertfordshire households.
