Thank you for choosing the Letchworth Garden City Heritage Foundation grants programme for your group or charity. It can sometimes seem daunting to apply for a grant, however, don’t be put off, help is at hand!
We have created a series of short videos to help you understand the information we would like to be included in an application. These videos cover the key parts of the application process, and we hope they will be helpful when applying for grants from any funder.
What you need to know before you apply
It is crucial to think about the issue you wish to address and make sure it is easy to explain and understand. Once that is clear, you will need to think about the evidence needed to support your application. Watch this video which may help you to complete our application form.
Finance & reporting
We wish to understand your plans as best we can. To do this, we need to know why you are applying for the amount you are applying for and how you will check the impact of your work. We require this information because as a charitable foundation we must ensure our grants are making a positive impact and represent good value for money for the town.
This video has some tips for the reporting and finance aspects of your application.
Video applications
To make our grants programme accessible to all, we welcome proposals via video. This can be a basic recording taken on a phone, but we ask that you submit the video via a website such as Dropbox/We Transfer and that it is in mp4 format.
For further advice on applying via video, watch this short film.
We hope this guide will help you apply for a grant. For any queries and to submit your application, please email grants@letchworth.com.
