Acorn Activities Volunteers
Acorn Activities engage with families on and around the Jackmans estate in Letchworth and are looking for volunteers to help with activities for children under 6. There are two roles available: After School Session Helpers and Games Library Volunteer, both based at the Chestnut Tree Family Centre on a weekly basis during school term time. If you are interested in either role, please email volunteering@letchworth.com for further information on the process to become involved.

Woodcraft for Wellbeing Volunteers
Funded by the Foundation's community grant programme, the monthly sessions on Norton Common enable local people to improve their wellbeing through connection with nature and the outdoors. Volunteers are needed to support CultureWood in the setup and running of the sessions from 9am to 1pm on the fourth Saturday of every month. Activities include a campfire, bushcraft skills and mindfulness. If you have a love of the outdoors and can help as a volunteer, please email volunteering@letchworth.com

Why Volunteer

Volunteering is a great way to meet new people, learn new skills and help your community. It’s a fantastic way to enhance your CV, gain new experiences and even improve your wellbeing.

As a volunteer with the Heritage Foundation, you’ll be fully supported along the way. We’ll give you all the training you need and you can tailor your volunteering around your schedule.

We’re a friendly bunch at the Heritage Foundation. You can get to know other volunteers at our regular volunteer socials and events.

By volunteering, you’ll be helping people across Letchworth and making a positive difference in your community.
