History & Heritage

Letchworth’s Museum Service is made up of the Garden City Collection, Museum at One Garden City and the International Garden Cities Exhibition.

In 2020, all our museum services faced closure due to the pandemic. Thanks to funding from the National Lottery Heritage Fund and the government’s Culture Recovery Fund, we were able to partially reopen.

Our historical objects support local exhibitions held in the town, and are available to view online.
