Having grown up in Letchworth and attended Northfields Infant, The Grange Junior, and Fearnhill Secondary School, Carla proudly sees herself as a Letchworth girl through and through. Her parents still live on the Grange Estate in a house that has been in the family for over 75 years.
Carla is currently Director of Strategy, Transformation, Income Generation, and Marketing at Garden House Hospice Care. She’s excited to help bring two vital organisations closer together to better support and reach more people in Letchworth. Passionate about making a difference, Carla has been involved with Garden House since 1991, when her grandmother was cared for as an inpatient.
She’s also been a lifelong supporter of Letchworth Garden City Heritage Foundation, with several family members having worked there, including her grandmother and older sister! A familiar face at Standalone Farm and Broadway Cinema, Carla remains closely connected to the local community.
Although she now lives in Ickleford with her husband and daughter, Carla will always say she’s from Letchworth.
