From Wild Beasts to Pickled Sharks: Today, Thursday. Linda Collins will give an illustrated lecture to The Arts Society North Hertfordshire titled “From Wild Beasts to Pickled Sharks”. North Herts Community Coffee Bar: Friday, March 2 and Tuesday 6. Drop in for a coffee and a chat at this weekly coffee bar. Hot refreshments range from tea, coffee and hot chocolate starting from just 60p a cup. Hot buttered toast and a selection of soup, snacks and soft drinks are also available. Women’s World Day of Prayer: Friday, March 2. Women’s World Day of Prayer (WWDOP) 2018 has been written by the Christian women of Suriname. Members of 16 churches in Letchworth will be taking part and this year’s theme is ‘All God's Creation is Very Good!’ At St. Thomas's Church, Bedford Road. Starts at 1.30pm. All very welcome.

Hitchin and Letchworth RSPB Local Group: Friday, March 2. Clare Stringer, Head of International Species Recovery will give a talk to this friendly group of local birdwatchers. Active Letchworth Focus Group: Tuesday 6 March. In 2018 Active Letchworth will be working to encourage more adults to increase their activity levels, aiming to get more people in Letchworth moving. They will be looking at how best to do this, starting with focus groups with local residents. They are aiming to then set up a variety of programmes for people to join which could include table-tennis, walking, gardening, martial arts, walking football, seated exercise, bowls and many more!

Meet Critique: Wednesday, March 7. Organised by the Broadway Gallery, Meet Critique is a regular event for artists to discuss their work and invite feedback from their peers. Through this the Gallery aims to build a network of artists that can offer professional advice and support to one another, similar to that experienced in an academic or studio context.
