Kingfisher Club: Monday, February 17. Howard Cottage Housing Association runs this club for local people who have low to moderate dementia or are socially isolated. Herts Health Walks: Monday, February 17. Enjoy the countryside and local green spaces, with these free walks led by qualified volunteer leaders. Chose a stroll or a two mile walk. Active Letchworth – Qigong (Tai Chi): Tuesday, February 18. Based on Tai Chi, Qigong focuses on breathing and movement to relax the body, relieve stress and improve your flexibility and co-ordination. These sessions can help to reduce risk of falls. Standalone Farm: Monday, February 17 – Saturday, February 22. Standalone Farm opens for a new season this Monday with reach for the stars in this 360-theatre experience for half term week. Hop into our inflatable planetarium and blast through time and space as you and your little astronauts learn all about the planets and stars! Sessions will last around 15 mins and cost £1 per person. Tickets can be purchased at the front desk on the day. Unfortunately, we are unable to accommodate advanced booking. Happy Little Yogi Day Camp for Kids: Tuesday February 18 to Thursday, February 20. Join us for fun yoga days during school holidays for children aged from 4-12 years. Enjoy a variety of yoga games, moving meditations and yoga poses. Using our breath, we will blow bubbles to create our safe space and take us on a relaxation journey. We work with a daily theme to create a unique yoga routine to energise the body, create a happy calm mind and peace within. When taking a break from our yoga practice, there will be time for creative arts & crafts activities. (In partnership with the Letchworth Centre for Healthy Living, Rosehill Hospital, Hitchin Road. North Herts & Stevenage Community Transport Scheme and Reach Out Hertfordshire: Tuesday, February 18 to Thursday, February 20. North Herts CVS will be raising awareness for two of its main services next week in Discover Letchworth, One Garden City, Broadway (next to Morrisons). Information on the busy Community Transport scheme and the Reach Out Hertfordshire - Home from Hospital service will be available and staff from both projects will be available to speak with and will share more about these wonderful services, including volunteering opportunities between 11am to 2pm each day.
