Get down to the Farm this half term

Fans of Standalone Farm will be happy to hear that the Farm will be opening earlier than ever before, with the doors open for the 2018 season from Saturday 10 February -  just in time for half term.

Kicking off a special week of activities is a Kids’ Press Conference at 11.30am on Saturday 10 February, where children can ask Farmer Andrew anything they would like to know about Standalone Farm and the animals who live there.

From Monday until Friday Einstein’s Entertainers will be bringing some silly science fun to the Farm, with two hour-long sessions running at 11.30 and 1.30. Join us in the Picnic Barn for some erupting vegetables, soaring rockets and maybe even a man-made storm. Places are limited and on a first-come-first-served basis.

And of course there will be plenty of time to say hello to all the animals, burn off some energy on the play equipment, get hands-on with milking and feeding and warm up with a snack from the Greenway Café.

Vanessa Sawyer, Visitor Experience Delivery Manager commented: “Visitor numbers were up again in 2017, with a record 85,000 people visiting, so the earlier opening has been driven by demand.  We have already had plenty of feedback from customers who are excited about the earlier opening and the special events programme we have brought together and we can’t wait to open the doors in a few weeks time.”

Opening week is the perfect time to buy an annual pass for the Farm (£75 for two adults and up to three children) giving you free entry to the Farm and events for a year. Day tickets cost £24 for a family, or £7 adults and £5.50 per child. For more information visit www.standalonefarm.com
